Hello everyone. I recently joined this community and have loved all the great pictures. ( here are some of my ownCollapse )
I recently submitted to Minx Models online and the offered to represent me in their freelance devision. I'm not sure what to do, so I've been trying to get as much advice as possible, so any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated.
My measurments are not that of a typical model. I have a 28 inch waist and while i'm trying to change that, can't see it getting to be much smaller - my ribs are 28 inches and dieting won't shink my bone mass. I know Minx is the commercial division and waist size does not matter as much it still does matter and i'm wondering if that is too much.
Of course, why would they want to represent me if they didn't think i could find work right? Thats what i'd like to know... Has anyone here had an experience with Minx? They say they accept only 1% of applications, but is this a true stat? There is a listing fee of 150 and i dont just want to throw money away on a non selective, we take anyone, sort of listing.
Also, i was under the impression that agencies wouldn't charge, but some of the feedback I've gotten was that this is common. Not for representation, but for things like website listing and comp card fees. Can anyone help to shed light on this as well? 150 is a large sum for me, and while i dont want to be too stingy, i dont want to waste it either.
Thank you for any advice or wisdom you can offer.
